Speaking on Monday’s episode of his “Let’s Go!” podcast on SiriusXM, Brady shared how he failed to make Gronkowski’s dinner guest list, but didn’t seem to mind missing out.
“I don’t know, man. That’s OK. I know what he eats. Let’s just say it’s not along the guidelines of TB12 so he can have his dinner without me,” the 44-year-old said.
Instead of coming off the field at the coaches’ request during Sunday’s NFL game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, Brady refused to leave and remained in the game to help out his fellow Buccaneers teammate and long-time friend Gronkowski.
Gronkowski had the chance in this game to walk away with $1m in incentive bonuses if he managed to achieve seven catches and 85 receiving yards - to hit two separate bonuses of $500,000.
After hitting the yardage bonus, Gronkowski managed to reach the second one with just under seven left of the game, to take home the $1m bonus.

In the end, the Buccaneers won 41-17 and Gronkowski joked how he was going to treat his teammates to a slap-up meal - except Brady.
“I’m going to have to bring out all the tight ends to dinner. A couple of the quarterbacks — I don’t bring Tom out, I’ll bring the backups out to dinner,” he joked.
While he may not have a dinner invite from him, Brady had nothing but praise for Gronkowski, calling him an “incredible player” and “great teammate.”
“I think he’s the greatest tight end in NFL history. What he does in the run game, the pass game, the kind of teammate he is, he’s amazing,” he added.
Though Brady bantered back with Gronkowski and said on Monday he’d treat his offensive lineman to a fancy meal without him.
“I’m going to take my linemen out because those guys balled out all year. Maybe I’m going to take them to Morton’s and get them a nice steak because those boys deserve it. Those guys had a hell of a year. Tristan [Wirfs], Alex Cappa, [Ryan] Jensen, Donnie [Smith], and Ali Marpet, man, those guys balled out,” Brady said.
“Gronk can have his dinner with all his tight ends. I’m going out with the o-linemen. Sorry, Gronk, I’m going to miss you. Just make sure you’re not out too late,” he joked.
